Music, dances, punch and tamales. Imagine that. There is no fiesta or fandango –as it is popularly said in Veracruz– without a jarana. The least that has to be missing is the joyful and cordial atmosphere in these special gatherings in which I myself was able to participate in my trip to the south.

Since that first time I heard the son of 'Colás' sung by some, zapateado by a couple and played by many others, the son jarocho became my favorite Mexican music. This project was born with the intention of sharing this feeling, wich when I listen to this eight-stringed instrument, it awakens in me.
